Who in their right mind plans for an Easter Sunrise Service with only six planning Sundays before the event? Well, people who feel the leading of and believe in the power of the Lord. “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19: 26 (NKJV)
This project began in early February when the manager of the Inland Empire Surf Soccer Club approached Pastor David Medina of the Branch Church and offered the use of the club’s soccer field complex for an Easter Sunrise Service. That offer led to some conversations about the possibility of pulling this together in basically seven weeks.
Could we, should we, and with prayer and belief in the power of God, the idea was pushed forward. The initial meeting of what has become the North End Easter Sunrise Service ad hoc committee was held at Unified Baptist Church on Sunday, February 22nd. That meeting brought together several pastors from churches in the north end of the City of San Bernardino and nearby communities.
Those involved include the Branch Church, Be The Message Church, Imagine Church, Generations Church, First Baptist Church San Bernardino and Unified Baptist Church. As we have continued to plan, others have come alongside to assist in bringing this incredible One Day Mission Event to the communities around Northern San Bernardino.
The Lord has answered every prayer for support, organization and logistics. Now, we are praying for the Lord to fill these fields with people saved and unsaved to hear the message of Jesus’ love and sacrifice for the world. International Evangelist, Pastor Wayne Stockstill will be providing the message.
Please think about coming out to this Godly event. Only the Lord could bring this type of event together in such a fashion. Participate in and experience the Ultimate One Day Mission, the day of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As the sun rises, so did the Son.
The service begins at 6:00 a.m. and is located at the IE Surf Soccer Complex, 3496 West Little League Drive (Palm Street and Little League Drive) in San Bernardino 92407. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LAWN CHAIRS OR BLANKETS TO SIT ON. If you cannot attend, please pray that God does a mighty work in northern San Bernardino.
